Early Years-

Devon-England I don’t have a any creative early memories, but I do remember having a wealth of experiences. I started out in Devon where the only memories I have are of a cat called Thomas the size of a Tiger and a horse named Candy. I have a memory of trying to feed Candy and learning the hard way that you need to hold your hand flat with the food on the palm, or the horse may very well try to eat your whole hand. Luckily I didn’t sustain any permanent damage which could have changed the direction of my creative activities later on in life. I was told that Candy liked to entertain herself and if the hunt went by, she would jump out of her field and join them, then my dad would have to find out where they ended up and go bring her back. There aren’t any anecdotes from my early years hinting at an art genius in the making. Only that perhaps I had an appreciation of texture since, as a baby, if I was taken to the beach I would make a bee line off the picnic rug and eat handfuls of sand.
